Our local-first approach

ParaScope Review Lab is designed to review audio and video files stored on your own Windows computer or storage locations. Review Lab does not upload your original media to ParaScope as part of ordinary local review, playback, transcription, analysis, clipping, or export.

Information used for purchases and activation

When you purchase Review Lab, our payment processor handles payment information. ParaScope receives the order information needed to deliver a license, such as your email address and purchase reference.

When you activate a license, the license service receives the license key, a device identifier, and a device label so it can enforce the two-computer activation limit. The app stores only a Windows-protected activation receipt and displays only a license prefix, not the complete key.

Seven-day trial

Starting a trial sends a randomly generated device identifier and a general device label to the ParaScope license service. The identifier is hashed before it is stored on the service. It is used to remember the trial start and expiration for that Windows installation and to prevent repeated trial resets. Starting a trial does not require your name, email address, payment information, original recordings, transcripts, findings, or case details.

Email and service providers

ParaScope uses service providers to process payment, deliver license email, and host the license activation service. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We use this information to complete purchases, provide activation and support, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You may contact support@parascopelab.com to ask about purchase or support information associated with your email address. We may retain records needed for fraud prevention, accounting, chargeback handling, and legal obligations.
